ABOUT OUR CABINS
Watercliff cabins are designed to be as eco-friendly as possible, running on sun, rainwater and a bit of engineering genius. In other words, we’ve had to pull out all the stops through architectural design and high quality build fittings, as well as a state of the art off-grid solar and water filtration systems. Look out Elon.
When we say eco, we don’t mean compromising on everyday luxuries like fully functional kitchens (and flushing toilets). When we say luxury, we mean heat pumps and underfloor heating in the bathroom to keep you toasty in winter, cork tile flooring, bespoke vanities, and automatic blinds to reveal the picturesque sunrise without leaving your bed. Dreamy.
THE VIEW
We call it The View for obvious reasons. Not only does this instagram-able cabin overlook the meander of the Omanawa river and cliffs, but it’s also closest to a great swimming hole and secluded beach along the riverbank. But the main reason it’s called The View is the coveted outdoor bath on the deck. There’s no better way to soak up the views (literally) than a glass of bubbles and a warm bubble bath.

THE NEST
If you’re romantically inclined, The Nest is our cute and cosy love haven with views that go on forever. A true north facing cabin with 180 degrees of glass sliding doors, its private deck with outdoor bath tub looks out over thousands of ferns nestled along the opposite riverbank.

Our largest cabin, The Hangout is perfect for families or couples and friends. We’ve got your party covered with dining areas for four people, both indoors and out, and king bunk beds large enough for life-sized adults. To top it off, there are some sweet water views from the deck to the crystal clear river below.

THE GETAWAY
The Getaway is a beautiful sanctuary nestled amongst large ferns and native trees. Hunker down and enjoy the melodic birdsong or step outside into the private bath tub and inhale the freshest air in Aotearoa. Like all cabins, it’s equipped with a kitchen for pancakes, toasted sandwiches and that pasta you’ve been dying to try. Followed by more pancakes.
